LYDIA'S BIOGRAPHY

Lydia Clar has been psychic since she was a child. A traumatic event at an early age caused this ability to be repressed. It re-surfaced about the age of 15, when a great personal need of her mother's brought it out again. This happened as a result of a dream. When the problem was resolved she again repressed, though apparently not as much. Flashes kept popping up but, because they seemed so normal to her, she didn't think of them as anything special. Her family knew better but didn't make an issue of it.

At the age of 18 Lydia's mother took her to get her first reading. She was so impressed by what she heard and curious as to how it was done that she no longer felt the need to repress. For a number of years, curiosity led her to read books on the subject and attend seminars.

A trip to Europe - where she met with famed British psychic Ena Twigg and visited The College of Psychic Studies in London - changed her life. She came back to New York and attended training sessions in psychic development, psychometry, numerology, tarot, yoga, etc., with various teachers of The Inner Vision School, whose classes were held at the Engineering Center of the U.N.; and later with Rev. Aflreda Oliver, another British psychic, at the Transcendental Psychic Arts School in New Jersey. She also studied the Silva Mind Control method in New York, learning how to direct thought to establish contact with the inner self. Little by little her psychic faculties were opened and she realized that it was time to pay back the spirit world for their patience.

While she had "read" friends and family for a number of years, her first public experience came through a series of psychic fairs in New York. As her popularity at these fairs grew, her spiritual journey commenced. The goal was to help those who came to her with life's problems. No one can, or should, tell another person what to do with their life. It's helpful, however, if a person can be given a broader perspective on which to base a decision. Lydia could tell them what she saw but ultimately it was up to the person to decide the outcome.

She has been doing psychic counseling for approximately 25 years and has the ability to scope out those people whom she believes have psychic ability who are neither using nor developing it and encourages them to do so. At this point in her life, while she continues her psychic counseling, she is also devoting time to teaching psychic awareness and spiritual development through classes and workshops.

Lydia has been on WFTL Radio with Nick Laurence in Florida, on the "Edge of Reality" radio show with host Ken Dashow in New York City, which is syndicated from Alaska to Florida. She has also appeared on the CTI television show "Local Live" with Steve Adubato, in New Jersey. Lydia appears in a video and is mentioned in several books on the life of renowned medium, John Edward, detailing his life and work, which was shown on the USA and Sci-Fi TV channels. Recently she has been a guest on the "Time of Your Life" radio program with Stephanie Lerner broadcast out of Long Island, New York.

Lydia feels blessed with her abilities and feels that everyone should give back, whenever possible (in thanksgiving to God for all he gives us) in the form of helping others who are in need. She has, therefore, participated in a number of charity fund raisers and worked on collecting quilt patches and donations for Hudson Cradle, a children's aids care center in New Jersey. She also did volunteer work with a local Miami program to feed the poor - sponsored by a local church in conjunction with the Sisters of Mother Theresa and does volunteer work with the Catholic Charities Hospice program.
